Rock Louie Co

A brief history of Team RLC

It was a chill and chilly winter day in Vail. Rocky Louis Cook had eleven cents in his pocket and no hat on his head. As he watched the man behind the counter sorting beanies, he noticed exactly what he wanted-a bright white, simple acrylic beanie. There wasn't just one of these beanies, there was a dozen in a clear package.

He never could easily find exactly what he wanted in accessories and apparel; why not start providing it!?

Thus, Rock Louie Co, the idea, was born. Rocky had gone into many ventures in the past; jewelry-making, leather-working; but never a full line of apparel and accessories. Rocky had always adored Blue Blockers and wore them everywhere, so, a few clicks on a label-maker and BOOM: Rock Louie Sunglasses Prototype A was born. It took about two years from that fateful day in Vail for a business plan to be pieced together, logo to be built, sunglasses manufacturer found and product developed.

The Rock Louie OG Sunglasses were released along with the OG Logo Ts and bandannas Aug. 4th, 2010 via fashion show on the Iguana patio during Shop Good's inaugural Mustache Bash.

Our product line now includes a wide variety of apparel and accessories from hand-made necklaces & keychains to sweat bands (aka "Rock Bands") to the all-new ladies' tanks and V-necks. We specialize in customized apparel- not only are many of our shades created with specific companies and people in mind, we have a custom-tailoring capability that is unmatched. See the "Seamstress Sara" photo album.

We continue to hold true to Iguana by throwing a parking-lot party each Tuesday, weather permitting. This regular event has helped to open many doors for us as does the massive web of connections Rocky & I have built through our years in the service industry.

Team Rock Louie consists of great friends new and old that make up our event staff, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, seamstresses, dreamers, riders, discussion board and countless reps in the field from Florida and Philly all the way to Cali and Washington State and everywhere in between. We even have a good friend in Hawai'i Rocking Rock Louie!

Nearly every day we hear new accounts of our friends being recognized in their Rock Louie gear and people offering exorbitant sums for their slick shades. On the lake, in the streets and about town: it's time to accessorize.

It's time to Rock Rock Louie.
